Pharmaceutical marketing guidelines
As a pharmaceutical marketer, you have a tremendous amount of power in influencing the reputation of the pharma industry. You still need to be creative and innovative to achieve your brand's financial objectives, but one inappropriate move can tarnish your brand's reputation, as well as your company's and your own. The rule of thumb is as follows; 'If you would not want to see it on the front page of the newspaper, don't do it.'
But sometimes it is not easy to foresee the impact of certain actions, which seem quite innocent. That is why health regulators in various countries set up official marketing guidelines to follow.
These days, many pharmaceutical companies are concerned about their image in the public eye, therefore they incorporate even more conservative marketing guidelines for the sales and marketing team to follow. Many companies also have personnel or teams dedicated to reviewing project proposals to ensure that they are following the country and corporate marketing guidelines.
The following is a list of websites where you can find the promotional guidelines for various countries or continent in one case. Check the website for your country regularly as these guidelines are often updated.
